Well as MANY of you know I have been out of the office for the birth of my THIRD (yes third YIKES!) child! Alexander Lee was born at 5:56 on Tuesday the 11th! Mom and baby are doing great, but since this is our third C-Section, Mom is taking a lot more time to heal! SO being the GREAT father and husband that I am, I stayed at the hospital for a few days with her, now I am at home helping with ALL of the kids, housework etc. I couldn't be any happier! This time of year is magical for a birth and I intend to take full advantage of the holiday glow!

THANK YOU ALL for being so understanding! My family comes first, but my clients and friends are a VERY close second. I look forward to helping you all in the new year! 

Anyway, just because I am at home doesn't mean I am not working to help my clients. So check out our new H&R sections for other than MINI brand items as well as other updates to instructions, product photos, text etc. PLUS a little birdie said I might have another gift coming before the end of the year. I sure hope to be in the club man!

Hello again folks,

Just a quick note to say sorry for not making the improvements earlier, but none the less they are completed for the time being. We have added more dyno results, more instructions, details, photos etc. And don’t think we are done yet. There are bunch more new items being released in the coming days, including a really trick ECU upgrade for both R53 and R56 Cooper S owners. Even includes in car changeability of mapping.

Had to make a quick post here before getting the photos uploaded. Howard finally has some new tunes. After several months of revising little details I am happy to report he is now JAMMIN! We will be offering a drop in speaker box for the R56 and later on the R53 that will accept either a 10" or 12" sub. This is a direct snap in lightweight box. Maintains the ability to use the trunk space etc. A genuinely nice upgrade to any audio minded enthusiast that owns a MINI. I went a little nuts, and also replaced all the speakers in the car, added dual amps etc. (Special thanks to Phoenix Gold for their sponsorship of this and other ALTA vehicles. Truly nice equipment at a VERY reasonable price.) The sound is AMAZING!

The boxes will be available by the holiday season for purchase.

Also, we have been doing extensive work with our new Dyna-Pack Dyno. We will be revising all the dyno results for the R56, and R53, plus adding new charts for the R53 GP and R53 JCW owners. As always with ALTA expect honest answers backed up by real world results. More info soon!

What a weekend! I had to blog this one ASAP!

Saturday morning up at 5:30 am. Drive 3 1/2 hours to Seattle for the PSMINI.ORG show-n-shine. What a great bunch of folks! The turnout was tremendous. Weather was perfect in the 70's and sunny. More than 100 fellow motorer's showed up to show off. This was also "Howard"'s first public debut. You can read more about him HERE , HERE , HERE , HERE , HERE , and don't forget HERE !( stay tuned for much more with Howard in the coming weeks and months!) He and I both had a great time. Thank you to PSMINI.ORG for allowing us to attend, as well as the attendees for coming and supporting their club as well as ALTA Performance!

Well shows over, left Seattle at 3:30 for the drive back to Portland. Got home, showered, kissed the family, then grabbed a buddy and some Body Octane then off to San Francisco to pick up the newest member of my automotive family. (Name to be determined but suffice it to say, look for something Italian!) Arrived in San Francisco at 4:45 AM Sunday. Slept in the former owners front yard until 6:30 am. Took delivery of my 2006 MINI JCW GP #1478 and was on the way back to Portland! Got back at 6:30 pm, ate, showered etc. off to bed now back at work Monday morning at 6:30am!

Told you it was a weekend of 1700 miles of motoring! Had an absolute blast. Enjoyed every mile is both the R56 and the R53. Both cars are a true ball to drive. I am anxious to begin adding some HP to the GP and post the results here. Also, look forward to more driving impressions etc. to be posted both here as well as on NorthAmericanMotoring.com

Just a quick note to everyone that attended, that ALTA really had a great time! My staff really enjoyed meeting everyone, swapping stories and buying the overpriced meals! (ARGH!)
